About Randi-Marie
My Story
I am presently attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and am in the Master of Library and Information Science program. I am also currently working on my practicum experience in a K-8 school library. I really enjoy working with the students at the school and am learning so much through my experiences there.

Perhaps one of my favorite parts of my practicum experience is when a student asks for a recommendation on a book they could read, and then they come back a few days later with a huge smile on their face telling me how much they enjoyed the book. Often, these students and others ask about more good books to read and book series, so I put together a digital curation of book series for school aged children and have included a link to it in the menu above under SLO 6.

While I am still unsure as to which area of Library and Information Science I would like to work in, I do feel a strong pull to the students (probably due to my education background and teaching experience) and am thinking that either a school media center or a public library would be a great fit for me.
